# Create a new Link Stream

###### When you're logged into your Ombea account, you can create a new Link Stream in just a few simple steps.

## Add your question and content blocks

Click **Streams** in the menu -> Click the **+** button  -> Select **Stream** -> Select **Link**

To interact with your respondents using Ombea, you can fill your Stream with questions and content blocks. As you will discover, we've already created your first block, to add additional blocks simply click on **+ ADD NEW BLOCK**.

To define your block select the type. You can choose any of the following:
* Smiley
* NPS
* Multiple Choice
* Picture Choice
* Free Text
* Break

Depending on your selection you would have some additional options.

| You can add logical branching to your Stream. This means the questions can go in different directions depending on the responses given. To learn more, see [Stream Branching.](https://ombea.crisp.help/en/article/branching-streams-11alnpz)

| For Smiley questions, you will need to choose an Index. The Index you choose will determine how Ombea will summarize your feedback. For help making the right choice, see our article on [Understand satisfaction indices](/en/article/understand-satisfaction-indices-im7n6x/).

The last exit block is mandatory and designed to thank your respondents for their input and let them know about any next steps.

## Distribute your Stream

Click **Next** or the **Settings** tab and follow the steps. 

#### Add shortcuts to your Stream

In case you have mutiple Streams associated with the same link you can create direct links to this Stream by adding shortcuts. These shortcuts will bypass the Stream selection page. Your Stream will be directly accessed by appending the shortcut to the end of the link. E.g. if your link is **https://acme.ombea.com** and your shortcut to your Stream is **abc** the direct link to this Stream would be **https://acme.ombea.com/abc**.

Click the field under **Add shortcuts to this Stream** to add a shortcut. 

#### Add shortcuts to your Touchpoints

In case you have mutiple Touchpoints associated with a Stream you can create a direct link to a particular Touchpoint by adding a shortcut. This shortcut will bypass the Location selection page. The Stream for a Touchpoint will be directly accessed by appending the shortcut to the end of the link. E.g. if your link is **https://acme.ombea.com** and your shortcut to a Touchpoint is **123** the direct link to the Streams for this Touchpoint would be **https://acme.ombea.com/123**.

| In case you combine shortcuts to the Touchpoints with shortcuts to the Stream, the shortcut to the Touchpoint comes before the shortcut to the Stream. E.g. if your link is **https://acme.ombea.com** and your shortcut to a particular Touchpoint is **123** and your shortcut to your Stream is **abc** the direct link to this Stream for this particular Touchpoint would be **https://acme.ombea.com/123/abc**.

## Congratulations!

Your Stream is now ready! Depending on the start and end times you defined, you can access it by visiting the web address you chose to publish it on. The results will appear in your dashboard.
