Connect your Google Reviews to Ombea

In this article you’ll use the Public module to capture reviews directly from your Google Business Profile so that you can monitor and act on them as appropriate.

Connecting your Google Business Profile is a two-part process

First you will create a Touchpoint to connect Ombea and your Google Business Profile to each other.
Next, you will create a Stream to pull the Google reviews into your dashboard.

Before you start

You should have admin access to your Google Business Profile.
You should have a SubscriptionID for the Ombea Public module. If you do not have this, please contact our support team.

Steps

Log in to Ombea.
From the menu on the left, click Touchpoints.
Click on the + symbol in the blue circle.
Select Location.
Complete the form with the basic details for the location. Click Next.
Beneath Public Touchpoints, click Add Touchpoint.
Give the Touchpoint a name, and add your Subscription ID. If you do not have this, please contact our support team.
Choose Google Reviews and then click Connect. You will be redirected to your Google Business Profile to give Ombea access.
When you are done, you should be brought back to Ombea. Depending on how your Google Business Profile is structured, you may be prompted to choose a specific public location to connect to Ombea.
Click Add.
If you wish to make these public reviews visible to other Ombea users, click Next and add their details.
Click Save.

Part 2: Create the Stream

From the menu on the left-hand side, click Streams.
Click on the + symbol in the blue circle.
Click Create beneath Google Reviews.
Give your Stream a name so you can identify it in your dashboard.
Schedule your Stream's start and end dates.
Choose the Touchpoint(s) you created in Part 1.
Click Save.

When scheduling your stream, you can use a historical start date to pull in historical reviews.

Congratulations!

Your Stream is now ready! The results will appear in your dashboard.
